Summer is almost here and with that so is Aniridia Day! June 21st is International Aniridia Day which was created to celebrate those living with Aniridia. This year Vision for Tomorrow is planning a few meet-ups across the United States to bring Aniridia families together in person in honor of the day. Gatherings will take place the weekend before or after Aniridia Day. We have gatherings in the works for Chicago, Washington, DC and in Michigan.
Don’t see your area? We are looking for other families to host local meet-ups. Let us know if you’d like to gather families in your area and we’d be happy to help you spread the word. Check the box in this sign-up form and we will send along a gesture of thanks for helping get Aniridia families together.
What does a VFT Aniridia Day meet up look like?
We know we are stronger together and the chance to connect with others in person can offer ongoing support and potentially lifelong friendships. A meet up can be an easy, casual way to gather with neighboring families affected by aniridia and share general experiences. It can take place at an accessible park, local ice cream shop or local landmark. Allow an hour or so to connect with other families and for kids to meet and play. The time is yours to establish connections with nearby families and friends.
